Kevat Prasang. Ramayana story: Lord Rama and boatmen Kevat. Lord Sri Ramachandra crossing the river Ganga in a boat with Sita and Lakshmana through the forest. Madhubani is a folk painting from the Mithila region, hence it is also known as Mithila or Madhubani painting. Traditionally done by women in the villages of Bihar, India. Madhubani designs essentially depict scenes of royal courtyard, and Indian weddings, marriages symbols of fertility and prosperity with dominance of motifs like fish, parrot, elephant, turtle, sun, moon, tree, flowers, lotus, etc. This paintings are done on handmade watercolor paper with acrylic colors, pen-nibs and brushes.
