Ganesha. Madhubani is a folk painting from the Mithila region, hence it is also known as Mithila or Madhubani painting. Traditionally done by women in the villages of Bihar, India. Madhubani designs essentially depict scenes of royal courtyard, and Indian weddings, marriages symbols of fertility and prosperity with dominance of motifs like fish, parrot, elephant, turtle, sun, moon, tree, flowers, lotus, etc. This paintings are done on handmade watercolor paper with acrylic colors, pen-nibs and brushes.
An artist who specializes in contemporary acrylic and watercolor paintings, implementing vibrant colors and stylized strokes inspired by nature and life experiences. After graduating from the prestigious Sir J.J. School of Art in Mumbai, India, Jyotika earned another degree in Graphic Design. After a successful graphic/book design career, Jyotika found her true calling... creating fine art paintings.
